McDonalds Homeless Food Ban...

A number of stories have recently come to light, showing that McDonalds allegedly has a new policy which is preventing customers from buying food for homeless people. In the UK this month alone there have been two separate incidents that have made the headlines. It has been reported that people who were or appeared to be homeless were denied service at a number of McDonalds.

It has also been reported that people attempting to buy food for homeless people were also denied service.

I really do hope that they get this sorted out quickly or they may find many customers leaving them in protest against this prejudicial attitude.

Okay, so McDonalds might not be too worried about a handful of customers who might stop buying food from them. But, I wonder how they would feel if cars suddenly started breaking down in their drive through lanes. Imagine the delays, especially if the cars can't be moved or towed because it might damage the vehicle. Imagine if they were holding up traffic for an hour or two. I imagine that would hurt them especially, if it happened at peak times. I would also imagine that many customers would not not be so keen to use the drive through in the future for fear that they might become stuck there for a while. Just imagine the backlash when the proverbial "Fast Food" ceases to be fast....

Not that I am in any way encouraging, suggesting or advocating that people should do this, I am merely pointing out how fast McDonalds could see services disrupted if they do not put an end to this blatant abuse of human rights once and for all...
